Camp Young Judaea was establishedto provide a supportive and dynamic environment in whichJewish youth can explore, grow and mature in an educationalsetting that instills a serious and profound commitmentto the Jewish, Zionist and Humanist values central to theYoung Judaea youth movement.
Why the Expansion? Most units at Camp Young Judaea are full! Each summer, CYJ is forced to turn away numerous Jewish children seeking an exciting environment to learn and explore about Judaism and Israel. Other children have chosen non-Jewish camps that offer activities currently unavailable at Camp Young Judaea. A child turned away from Camp Young Judaea due to facility constraints is a child denied the opportunity to maximize his/her Jewish future. No child should be turned away!
