My sons first overnight camp experience was a the most positive, nurturing & fun one I could have ever imagined. From a parents perspective, CYJ is well organized, well staffed & extremely clean. The ongoing communication CJY provides from camp sign up, to the very start of camp, to the email photos every night once you leave your child at camp, is just fantastic!!! From my sons perspective, "the food was Great!!!!" He wants some of the recipes. He loved all the activities & the counselors. "Everyone was so nice mommy. I had fun in everything I did & I want to go back next Summer" Thank you Frank & the entire Staff at CYJ for making my sons first time away from home the BEST it could be.

We would like to thank you for the wonderful summer experience you gave to our daughter Sofia. She doesn't stop talking about the amazing staff, counselors and friends, her Jewish experience and her growing knowledge of Israel. Her first email read "I´m having a blast!" and she felt it throughout her stay at camp. Thanks again for everything,

CYJ Texas means so much to our grandson Blake. All year long he talks about the special time he had at camp and how he can't wait to go back. The importance of a Jewish experience cannot be taken for granted. The love of Judaism, Israel, and Zionism is what CYJ gives to our grandson and every child who is fortunate to have this experience.

Our children have formed lasting friendships with the kids at CYJ and talk about camp constantly. It's their home away from home. We love it because of the Israel-based programming and the values that camp teaches our children.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing our daughter Norma to have “the summer of her life“ quoting her exact words! She had the best time, in a great environment and learned so much that she hasn't stopped talking since she arrived. Your organization was excellent, everything! We're very glad that we chose this camp for her, we couldn't have hoped for a better experience! Thank You!

A special thanks to all the wonderful counselors at CYJ, they are wonderful . . . When we arrived this year to drop off my younger daughter she saw her counselor from last year and ran as fast as she could away from me to her counselor, jumped into her arms and just hugged her. She then found out that she was going to be her counselor again this year and my daughter knew that she was going to have another great summer at CYJ!

Wow! The friendships he made are so special. There is nothing like it. The places the Segel trip went and the activities are spectacular. The pictures are a must see. The counselors were also great. The kids seem to respect and really enjoy being with the counselors. My son thanked us for sending him to CYJ on the car ride home. Priceless!

I never went to Jewish camp as a child and wanted to give him the experience I never had. It warms my heart every night when I see pictures that were posted of him. Honestly I have never seen him happier than the time he has spent at CYJ.

I can't say enough about CYJ! The friendships made, religion made even stronger, independence grows stronger summer after summer, year after year. Even the food (so I am told) is terrific! I am impressed by the staff also. Frank keeps us informed of any problems and all the celebrations ....Maccabia! Each counselor does an amazing job keeping these campers happy and safe. I hate to say goodbye to CYJ, this is our 6th and final year. We will miss CYJ

My son Blake has just signed up for his 6th year at CYJ Texas. When he goes off to camp, I know it was more difficult for me than for him . . . he was at home at CYJ from the very start. He adores his counselors, his activities, the food, and most of all his friends– all that is CYJ! He tells with without any ambivalence that he will continue at CYJ as long as they will let him – he says that he intends to stay at CYJ forever . . . as a camper, a counselor, Merakez (Unit Head), and (take note, Frank) he fantasizes about being camp director someday. The counselors are amazing – they are charismatic, energetic, and the best role models I could ever hope for in Blake’s life. His identification as a Jew is solidified by CYJ. He is proud to be Jewish (sharing this with his friends at school in Texas who are mostly not Jewish). It is hard for me to find words to describe my gratitude to CYJ Texas for all that they are and do for Blake. I watched streams of kids, girls, boys, of all ages, come up to him on the last day for hugs and warm handshakes (not sure if that is what you call the adolescent hand, fist, and shoulder bump things) – the love was palpable. He ran to the gift table to purchase more CYJ t-shirts and sweatpants. Then, he went straight to the computers to sign up for next summer. We wouldn’t have it any other way!

Hannah has had the greatest camp experience this year. This was her 4th year to attend session I and has loved it every year, but this session was truly amazing for her. CYJ definitely has my support. Thanks so much for making Hannah's session this summer so meaningful and fun.

We have been a CJY family for eleven years, Our daughter, Rebecca attended CJY Texas from Nitzanim thru Segel, two years at Camp TY, and is now is in Israel on YJ's Machon program. Our son, Paul, has attended CYJ Texas from Nitzanim and is now completing Segel. CYJ Texas has offered our children years of fun, new skills, many new friends, a strong sense of Jewish identity, and (G-d willing) a lifelong relationship with Israel.

I am a worrier and the thought of sending my daughter away for 21 day (I did not look at it as 3 weeks) caused me much anxiety. Then I spoke with Frank and was sold. He explained everything about camp within 30 minutes. My daughter just finished her first summer at CYJ and insisted I sign her up for next year before leaving the camp at pickup! She made a whole new group of friends and learned a new and better sense of independence. I am extremely happy with how "our" first summer at CYJ went. In a few years our youngest will be joining his sister at camp. You could not ask for a more compassionate and knowledgeable Director and Staff both at the child and adult level. WE LOVE CYJ.

I wanted to tell you specifically how much Benjamin enjoyed Advanced Soccer and Coach Javier. I think he learned more from Coach Javi in three weeks then in four years in recreational soccer here in Austin.
