Refund Policy
Our cancellation policy is designed to give you flexibility and allow you to make early decisions about camp with little financial risk.
- Tuition is fully refundable until December 1.
- From December 2 to February 1, tuition is fully refundable except for $250 (50% of the deposit).
- From February 1 to May 1, tuition is fully refundable except for $500 (full deposit amount).
- After May 1, 50% of tuition is refundable for cancellation before the beginning of the session.
- If your child is physically injured or comes down with an illness at camp that requires them to leave early, we will refund half the daily tuition for the remaining days of the session.
Discounts
Early Bird: Register by September 5 to get special CYJ Swag and lock in 2024 prices (subject to change after September 5).
Jewish Educators: We like to reward our colleagues! Let us know where you work and receive $100 per child with the Jewish Educators discount.
Refer a Camper: For every camper you recruit who has never been to camp and whose siblings have never come to camp, both families receive $100 off the total tuition payment per kid.
Sibling Discount: If a family sends more than one child to camp, each child’s tuition is discounted by $100.
Note: We do not offer any discounts for the Mini Mensch or CIT tuition.
For aid in getting your child to camp, we have many Tuition Aid options. Please see our Tuition Assistance page for more information.
Additional Options
There will be a page in the Camper Application form to pay for a number of optional opportunities. The applicant will be able to: sponsor tuition scholarships for other campers and make a general donation for the continued operation of CYJ-Texas. These options are not included in general tuition.
Regarding staff tips—we are happy to say that we pay our counselors and staff a competitive wage, and it is our staff’s policy not to accept gratuities. If you wish to show appreciation for our (amazing!) staff, there will be a “Counselor Tips” option in the application process to donate to their recreation programs.
