Spring is here which means summer camp is right around the corner! If your child can’t contain their excitement, then check out a few of these fun camp activities they can do at home!
Creating a scavenger hunt can be as simple or creative as you’d like to make it. Make a list of items your child can find around the house, backyard or even outside at the park. You can also turn the tables and have your child make a scavenger hunt for you!
Pro Tip: Put loose change on the list and watch them clean the couch for you. 😉
Ask your child what their favorite camp meal was and have them look up a recipe, make a shopping list and help with the cooking! This is a fun activity for the family to do together and dinner will already be taken care of for the evening. Remember to pick up graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate for s’mores; no camp meal is complete without them!
Rikud (Israeli Dancing)
Have a Rikud dance party! You can have your child teach you a few of the dances they learned at camp or check out a few of our tutorial videos on YouTube.
Need more ideas? Just ask your child what they loved most about camp! We are sure they will be able to teach you how to do their favorite craft, play a fun game or sing and dance to their favorite songs.
