Set between Austin and San Antonio, New Braunfels is home to many family-friendly attractions including, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, the Stars and Stripes Drive-In and Gruene Hall. It is also a short drive away for some day trips to San Antonio which has Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Natural Bridge Caverns and the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch!
South Padre Island
When you’ve had enough of the Galveston beaches, and you’re ready to venture out a little further, South Padre Island is the place to go! With their blue beaches, you will feel like you’re in paradise. You can spend the day on the beach or schedule a boat tour, dolphin watching, site seeing and more!
Grapevine is so close to Dallas that some may not have even considered it a vacation spot, but this family-friendly city is full of authentic Texas culture! Enjoy relaxing in the small town atmosphere, check out the local shops in Downtown Grapevine and enjoy their Farmer’s Markets for fresh produce.

Last but not least, our annual CYJ Family Camp makes the list! Family Camp is a weekend getaway for the entire family in the Texas Hill Country! It’s a great way to have fun, see what Camp is like, and spend time with old and new friends alike! The retreat is open to all Jewish families, including those with no previous relationship with CYJ.
