Zip-lining is a great way for your family to make memories that will last a lifetime while building trust and the fortitude to face challenges that can seem pretty scary. Not to mention, it’s the closest most of us will ever come to flying like Superman! CYJ-Texas has an awesome zip-line for our thrill-seeking campers to enjoy, but where can you go zip-lining when camp is over? You’re in luck because Texas is a great state for zip-lining, so odds are you won’t have to go far!

The Austin Area

That’s right! One of the best zip-lining courses in the state of Texas is right in CYJ’s backyard! Here in Wimberley, we have Wimberley zip-line Adventures, where you can soar up to 100 feet off of the ground and enjoy a stunning 10 mile view of the gorgeous scenery. Best of all, they’re open all year long. If the summer heat has got you down, you can wait and enjoy a chilly autumn adventure or a frosty winter challenge. Test your limits and try to spot CYJ from up there! Find out more at www.wimberleyzip-line.com

The Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Trinity Forest Adventure Park in Dallas is full of high ropes courses of various difficulties for adventurers of all skill levels. There’s even a Littles course for ages 4 and up! There are twenty zip-lines and the highest point is 50 feet in the air. No matter which difficulty level is right for your family, you’ll have a blast challenging yourselves and achieving new heights together! You can learn more at trinitytreetops.com/trinity-tree-tops/

The Houston Area

Big Rivers waterpark and adventures in New Caney has so much more to offer than just waterslides (although they have plenty of those, too)! They have a full ropes course including a variety of zip-lines for every thrill-level. To quote them, “With some of the longest and highest zip-lines in Texas, ropes and challenge courses for all ages, a 70′-high free fall tower, and crazy-high climbing walls, the aerial fun at Big Rivers just doesn’t stop!” You can learn more at bigriverswaterpark.com/aerial-adventures/

Did you know that Natural Bridge Caverns has a ropes course and zip-lines? Your family will sail high above the treetops while enjoying breathtaking views of the hill country around the caverns. In addition to the high-flying thrills, Natural Bridge Caverns also has a smaller course for younger kids to test out their agility. Combine that with the cavern tours and the 5,000 square foot outdoor maze, and you’ve got yourself a day packed full of fun and adventure!
