This Seder Plate craft is not only easy to make but it’s also fun and will last from year to year! Read below to see how you can take simple dollar store items and turn them into a Passover Seder Plate keepsake!

White Ceramic Plate (can be found at most dollar stores or craft stores)

Permanent Markers (preferably sharpie)

Plain White Paper

How To Make Your Own Seder Plate

First, have your child draw their design with a pencil on a piece of paper. They may want to find inspiration online from one of these Seder Plate Drawings.

Next, have your child draw their design with a sharpie on the white ceramic plate.

Finally, place your child’s plate in the oven (oven should be cold, not preheated). Once the plate is in the oven, set the temperature to 350°F. Let your plate bake for 30 minutes once the oven reaches the desired temperature.

*You can choose to apply a second coat of sharpie and bake your plate a second time to ensure the sharpie sets well on the plate.

Once your plate cools it’s ready to use! Please tag us on Facebook and Instagram in your Seder Plate pictures and have a Happy Passover from all of us at CYJ!
