We are sad to announce that Claire Adams, our Office Manager, will be moving on at the end of the year and will no longer be working for us here at CYJ. Claire has been with us for a little over a year and I know she has formed close relationships with many of you, our Camp families. Although we will miss her, we wish her luck in the future and know she will be well taken care of in her new position at the San Antonio JCC.
Shalom CYJ Parents,
At the beginning of the New Year, I will be moving to San Antonio and leaving the Camp Young Judaea office. I’m sad to be leaving the incredible CYJ team and all of the wonderful camp families. Working here has been an amazing experience, and I am grateful to have been part of such a warm and caring organization.
As someone who has worked at Jewish camps for the past five years, it may surprise people that I didn’t grow up going to sleep-away camp; I was not from a camp family, and I never understood why my friends would come back after summer vacation reminiscing longingly about their time at camp. After going to CYJ for retreats and over the summer, I now see what all the fuss is about! As cliché as it sounds, there’s truly nothing like unplugging in nature and singing songs around a camp fire with a group of fun and friendly people!
If anyone wants to stay in touch (or has good recommendations for things to do in San Antonio) feel free to email me at [email protected].
Have a wonderful new year and l’hitraot!
