Long time CYJ camper, Leah, proves you are never too young to make a difference! In honor of her Bat Mitzvah, as a volunteer project, she made friendship bracelets to help provide tuition assistance to campers who would not otherwise be able to afford Camp Young Judaea. She feels lucky that she has received funds from CYJ each and every summer in order to enable her to enjoy CYJ and wants to be sure that other have the same opportunity. Donors received two matching friendship bracelets- one to keep and one to give to a friend. Leah came up with the idea on her own and called us at CYJ to ask if we would help her publicize her project. We were overwhelmed with pride and joy to hear about her initiative and have helped her raise money for Camp and raise awareness about our scholarship funds so that more children, like her, will be able to attend CYJ in the future.
