Outdoor adventures, team sports, Israeli dancing… these are only a few things we at CYJ are experts on, not to mention; all things cooked over a campfire, especially S’mores! Maybe you want to add some fun to your next party, or you want to bring a little bit of camp to your home after a Shabbat dinner. No matter the reason, if you’re looking for ideas on making your own S’more’s Bar, keep reading.

Start with the basics;

  • Graham Crackers
  • Marshmallows
  • Chocolate Bars

Then get creative!

  • Banana slices
  • Peanut or almond butter
  • Nutella
  • Honey
  • Various candy bars: Heath Bar, Snickers, Mr. Goodbar
  • Strawberry preserves
  • Hot fudge
  • Sprinkles

Bring The Heat

Find your heating element! We are big fans of marshmallows roasted over a campfire, but we know not everyone has the space for this. You can easily bring the fire indoors with sterno that is made from ethanol fuel which is safe for direct food cooking.

The Presentation

Making a beautiful S’mores Bar can be done easily and inexpensively. In fact, most items you can find at your local dollar store. Start with an eye-catching centerpiece by taking a large heat resistant dish, place the sterno cans inside and then surround them with river rocks. Other items you will need are wooden sticks for the marshmallows, serving dishes for the various toppings and be sure to remember the napkins!
