It’s been a tough year for many in our Houston community, but we are looking ahead to the summer and making sure that as many families as possible can enjoy an amazing camp experience at CYJ Texas.
CYJ Texas and URJ Greene Family Camp have partnered with the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston and The Foundation for Jewish Camp to give financial assistance to Houston families that have been affected by Hurricane Harvey. With these grants, campers attending CYJ Texas and Greene Family Camp can receive grants for Summer 2018 Tuition of up to $1500 for 10-day campers and up to $3000 for 3-week campers. Together, our goal is for all kids that want to attend camp this summer to have that opportunity despite the hardships of Hurricane Harvey.
To take advantage of this opportunity, please register your child for Summer 2018 and complete a Hurricane Harvey Camp Grant application. We do have limited funds and the grants will be assigned first come, first served.
If after the Hurricane Harvey grant you still need additional funds to pay for camp, you may still apply for assistance from JCRS, The Federation of Greater Houston, and your synagogue.
We are truly grateful to our donors who have contributed to the CYJ Harvey Fund, as well the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston and Foundation for Jewish Camp for making sure that all Houston families will have the opportunity to get to camp this summer.
