Women’s Camp

March 29-31, 2019

Join us this winter for the newly revamped Girls’ Night Out goes to CYJ’s Women’s Camp! We gave Women’s Camp a ‘fresh coat of paint’ and are refocusing out activities this weekend on a mix of fun traditional camp programs, pampering, and relaxation.

Women’s Camp is open to any Jewish woman of at least 21, be they moms of campers, camp alumni, supporters, sisters, daughters, or friends. Even if you don’t have any relationship with CYJ, you can still sign up—everyone’s invited!

Our weekend activities create a great setting for connecting with old friends and making new ones. Enjoy yoga and Pilates, boating, cooking, and a mah-jong tournament. We’ve got ropes course, a shopping trip, swimming, and special spa services. No matter what you choose to take part in, you’ll leave with new friends and memories to last a lifetime! (For a more detailed vision of the retreat, see a sample WC schedule.

Below are our FAQs. We can send you more information or you can contact us with any questions.

Or, if the allure of massages, starry skies, and campfires are temptation enough, you can sign up now!

Frequently Asked Questions

What will the sleeping arrangements be like?

At Women’s Camp, we provide two types of accommodations on a first come, first served basis. (Both are air-conditioned.)

Guests can choose to stay in our Lodge. The lodge accommodations offer suites comprising two rooms, each room furnished with 1 twin bed, 1 queen bed, and a sink. These rooms share a bathroom (toilet and shower) between them. We will place 2 women in each room.

You can also choose to stay in our cabins for the full camp experience. We have 22 bunks available, each including 8 bunk beds and a bathroom with 3 sinks, 2 toilets, and 2 showers. We will only place women on the bottom bunk beds and will have a maximum of 8 women in each cabin.

What should I be bringing?

It’ll be a full weekend, with yoga, ropes course, tie-dye, boating, Shabbat dinner, swimming… whatever that itinerary means for your wardrobe, bring it along! We do not offer towels and toiletries, but we will provide your bedding. You’re also welcome to bring musical instruments, board games, sports equipment, or anything else you believe could enhance your weekend.

Libations: We’re asking everyone to bring a bottle (or two) of their favorite spirit to contribute to the open bar, (of course, those who don’t drink should feel no obligation to contribute). We’ll supply ice, cups, snacks, beer, kosher wine, and mixers. The bar will be open all weekend! (Please be sure your spirits are kosher before bringing them to camp)

What about the religious practices of Women's Camp?

Women’s Camp will follow the “Spirit of Shabbat”. Relaxation, Kabbalat Shabbat and Havdallah services are planned, and we also hope to have a Shabbat morning service. Festive Shabbat Meals will be served on Friday and Saturday.

There will be no work on Shabbat at Camp!!! Hopefully, you can refrain from laptops and cell phones as well.

CYJ is a kosher facility and we will honor the kosher laws throughout the weekend. So please, leave any food from outside at home, and let our professional chefs prepare your refreshments and meals throughout the weekend.

What is CYJ's retreat cancellation policy?
